Nice car, horrible color. They also have a matching Yukon XL. Obviously not factory paint, as even GM at its nadir would never have produced anything this tacky.
I have seen another car this same color recently. It was an E39 528i, complete with zebra print appliqué inside. Like I said, no taste whatsoever.

There’s an early R230 SL in my area in a similar color, with a white top. Older guy drives it.

Well you won’t lose it in the parking lot. So, there’s that.

That sounds like a challenge to me, Oppos

Counterpoint: I like it. Bright colors on attractive cars without any other offensive mods or super blingy wheels? Totally approve

This color has it’s place, like on a Ford Festiva or other cheap car. It just seems a little out of place here IMHO.

Words can’t describe how much I hate blue and yellow combined.

This was sold to actual people for real money.

I normally pass by these cars at 2 something in the morning so I never noticed the yellow until today. Yeah, no...

It’s a ‘90's thing.
You wouldn’t understand.

But green is such a pretty color!

On a different note, words cannot describe how mean XLR’s look in black.

My, how times have changed.

Same, I demand more funky colored cars! The roadways are so dull

I can’t believe I’m saying this but.... Those rotors look too big

I mean I don’t know if these are factory colors, but GM has long offered a variety of teals and aquas:

Yep, sports cars are supposed to be flashy. The color is fine. Not a fan of the pinstriping, but that’s a different issue.

The blue I could live with. Yellow stripe and graphic on rearviews can GTFO

How to properly blue

Bright colors have a place on the high end too. Whether the XLR is that place is debatable.

Agreed on the pinstriping. Didn’t notice that at first

I’d endorse it if they were to lose the yellow.

Not bad. No tacky graphics.

They do have graphics, but in an awesome display of foresight they were dealer installed only. So if you didn’t want them, you didn’t have to get them.

Cherry red XLR is best XLR.

that is what I was thinking - I actually love that color, (BMW, Porsche, Subaru, Ford Focus, etc) but it doesn’t suit that Cadi quite as well.

Is it an unpopular opinion that the XLR is totally ugly?
![]() 02/21/2017 at 01:35 |

Wrong! I have a GM product of this color, and it’s factory:

wrap job?
![]() 02/21/2017 at 06:43 |

Probably. It’s one of the few edgy Cadillacs that I actually like, but then again, I like the styling of my Mazda5 and prefer the targa to a regular 911 so my views on styling may be suspect...
![]() 02/21/2017 at 09:25 |

I, too, like the color. But it looks horrible on that car.
![]() 02/21/2017 at 11:40 |

Anyone who says the targa 911 isn’t the best 911 is wrong.

Amen, brother! Especially the 80s, pre-964.
